CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) -The Ohio Attorney General just issued a warning telling people to not try to buy or sell sex in this state, because if you do, you might end up in jail.

Two local men were just busted by one of northeast Ohio’s human trafficking task forces.

Attorney General Dave Yost said their arrests highlight the diverse backgrounds of those accused of trying to trade money for sex in our state.

David Saunders, 47, of Canton is accused of posing as a woman and selling sex online.

Investigators said Saunders is a convicted felon with an extensive criminal background and he is currently on probation for aggravated burglary and felonious assault.

The task force also took a 55-year-old man into custody who happens to be a public official in Pennsylvania.

According to the AG’s Office, Patrick Geho crossed state lines to buy sex from an ad, which was actually an undercover sting.

Yost said crimes like these happen in all communities, which is why he has made it a priority to crack down on the culprits.

“Human trafficking is happening every day across the state in every area. Rich, poor, in the city, in the country, in good neighborhoods and bad neighborhoods. And it’s something that we all ought to be keeping our eyes out for,” Attorney General Yost said.

The attorney general is urging Ohioans to report suspected human trafficking to the state’s new hotline at 844-END-OHHT.
